You will capture, process, analyse, and present large volumes of data generated from internal R&D laboratory experiments and from Composite Integration machines deployed in customers’ factories across the globe.
Due to expansion of our R&D facility and the ever-increasing technical ability and scope of our projects and machinery, we are seeking a R&D Data Analyst.
Location: Saltash, with flexibility for remote working
Hours: Permanent, part time or Full-Time, Monday to Friday

You will capture, process, analyse, and present large volumes of data generated from internal R&D laboratory experiments and from Composite Integration machines deployed in customers’ factories across the globe.

We’re looking for a motivated Data Analyst who enjoys exploring data and communicating a narrative through numbers. You’ll thrive in this role if you’re good with numbers, statistics, data sets and are curious, practical, and can confidently communicate complex information in clear practical ways.
• Degree in Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or similar.
• Strong proficiency in Excel, Python, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent.
• Experience turning data into insights through analysis and the use of Dashboards, reports and KPI’s
• Strong statistical and visualisation skills.
• Experience in data analysis within manufacturing, R&D, or industrial environments desirable.
• Experience with composite materials desirable, or a willingness to learn.
• Practical experience of working in a laboratory, particularly in materials science, process development or engineering environment desirable.
• Ability to complete accurate and concise reports of results.
• Excellent technical written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to comprehend technical documents.
• Strong team player, able and willing to actively contribute to project team.
• Awareness of good practice in terms of laboratory Health and Safety.
• Have an analytical approach.
• Enjoys exploring data and communicating a narrative through numbers.
• Confident communicating complex information in clear practical ways
• Have an interest in automation, AI, or advanced analytics.
• Understands data governance, compliance and data analysis best practice.
• Takes responsibility for one’s own work and a desire to role model the company’s brand.
• A completer finisher, who scrutinises for errors, and ensures work is to the highest standards.
• Have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and clearly articulate technical information.
• Have strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to priorities work and manage multiple tasks and projects when needed.
• Are confident with the ability to listen, ask questions and take the initiative where needed, challenge and raise issues or opportunities when they occur or are identified.
