About This Role

  • Location: Saltash
  • Hours: Permanent, Full-Time, Monday to Friday
  • Pay: £27,000 – £32,000

 

As Sales & Marketing Support, you’ll be the driving force behind exceptional customer journeys. From handling inbound enquiries to preparing detailed proposals and quotations, you’ll ensure every interaction reflects our high standards.

This is not cold calling. Instead, you’ll proactively follow up on opportunities, engage with UK and international customers, and work closely with our internal teams to deliver world-class service. You’ll need to be assertive in managing expectations, commercially aware when supporting sales opportunities, and forward-thinking in spotting ways we can add value.

You’ll also provide support to our marketing activities – such as exhibitions, campaigns, and content coordination, helping us reach and engage with our global audience.

What You’ll Be Doing 

  • Responding to inbound enquiries via phone, email, and presentations.
  • Preparing professional quotations and proposals for UK and international customers.
  • Following up proactively to convert opportunities and support sales growth.
  • Managing multiple customer accounts simultaneously, keeping communication consistent and clear.
  • Acting as the link between customers and our technical teams, ensuring expectations are met.
  • Building long-term customer relationships, identifying future opportunities for growth.
  • Supporting exhibitions, demonstrations, and client visits as part of our commercial team.
  • Supporting marketing initiatives, including digital campaigns, and customer communications.

 

What We Are Looking For

You’ll thrive in this role if you are proactive, confident, and able to combine technical curiosity with commercial awareness.

Skills & Experience

  • A qualification in business, engineering, or a related discipline is desirable, although relevant technical sales or customer-facing experience in manufacturing/engineering will be considered equally valuable.
  • Strong commercial awareness – able to link technical solutions to customer value.
  • Confident communicator with excellent written and spoken skills.
  • Comfortable using CRM systems and Microsoft Office to manage multiple projects.
  • Organised and detail-focused, with the ability to prioritise effectively.
