Composite Integration at Cornwall Manufacturers Awards

Triple Win for Composite Integration at the Cornwall Manufacturers Awards 2025

On 7 November 2025, we joined Cornwall’s manufacturing community at the Eden Project for this year’s Cornwall Manufacturers Awards — an event dedicated to recognising the innovation, sustainability, and engineering excellence that drive one of the region’s most important sectors.

We are incredibly proud to share that Composite Integration achieved three major award wins on the night:

  • Small Manufacturer of the Year
  • Environmental Project of the Year
  • Apprentice of the Year – Ross Duffy

These awards reflect the commitment, passion, and expertise of our team, and we are honoured to see our work recognised by industry leaders across the region.

Small Manufacturer of the Year

Winning Small Manufacturer of the Year is a testament to the hard work, ambition, and innovation that sits at the heart of Composite Integration. With more than 1,360 manufacturing companies operating in Cornwall, this recognition means a great deal to us.

Our mission has always been to push what is possible in composite manufacturing through world-first technologies, advanced R&D, and equipment that enables our customers to produce high-quality composite components at rate. Being acknowledged for our continued growth, leadership, and impact reinforces that we’re heading in the right direction.

Environmental Project of the Year

Receiving the Environmental Project of the Year award is particularly meaningful. Sustainability is a core part of our approach — from reducing waste and improving process efficiency, to supporting customers in achieving more controlled and consistent manufacturing.

This award highlights the work our teams continue to put into making composite production more responsible, efficient, and aligned with future industry expectations.

Apprentice of the Year: Celebrating Ross Duffy

A highlight of the evening was watching Ross Duffy, our Technical Apprentice, receive the Apprentice of the Year award.

Ross represents the next generation of engineering talent. As a Technical Apprentice, he has shown exceptional commitment, strong practical skills, and a genuine drive to learn and develop. His positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to take on new challenges have made him a valued part of our production team.

We are incredibly proud of Ross and delighted to see his hard work recognised.

Celebrating Cornwall’s Manufacturing Strength

The event also showcased the strength and diversity of Cornwall’s manufacturing sector. Keynote speaker Stephen Phipson CBE, CEO of Make UK, highlighted the significant contribution manufacturing makes to the UK economy and praised the region for its growing impact.

With over 16,000 people employed in manufacturing across Cornwall and more than £988m contributed annually to the local economy, the awards reaffirmed just how vital this industry is — from established manufacturers through to apprentices, rising stars, and students.

Looking Ahead

For us at Composite Integration, these awards are both a celebration and a motivation. Our focus remains on delivering pioneering resin infusion and RTM solutions, supporting our customers in building robust, scalable processes, and helping them manufacture high-quality composite components efficiently and sustainably.

These achievements belong to our entire team, who are driven by our mantra of always finding a better way and continually improving how we work.

Cornwall’s manufacturing sector is thriving, and we’re proud to contribute to its ongoing success.
